I’m Mark Elliott, a professional photographer and videographer based in Chicago, Illinois.

I started in the industry in 2013 as a freelance videographer and editor for Scissortail Media. The following year, I became the head of video at Atria Creative. I focused on providing photography and videography services for weddings, small businesses, and music production alongside Old Blood Noise Endeavors, a guitar pedal company.

I grew up on a small farm on the outskirts of Tulsa in the '90s. My grandfather was a camera enthusiast, and I would ask for disposable cameras for my birthday to capture images of the barn, cows, and the Oklahoma skies. My sister and I used to make short films before the days of YouTube, editing all in-camera with whatever camcorder we could find. After she earned a degree in Film & Video Studies, I followed in her footsteps and studied Art with a focus on Film at the University of Oklahoma.

In the winter of 2017, I started Rabbit House Productions in Oklahoma City. My primary work included video editing for Flower Moxie, a DIY wedding florist, and creating social media content for Capital City Barbershop. Two years later, my wife was accepted into a Ph.D. program at the University of Chicago, so we moved north!

We arrived in Chicago just a couple of months before the pandemic began. Despite the challenges, I secured a full-time job in the emerging cannabis industry of Illinois, where I photographed products and created a wide range of branding and social videos.

In the summer of ’23, after a decade into my career, I returned to freelancing to create media that combines artistry and practicality. When I'm not working behind cameras or computers, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our two cats, watching TV and movies. We love going to Promontory Point and enjoying the fresh air while admiring the lake view. Another big hobby of mine is listening to music, and although I'm no expert, I like to spend time playing the guitar.

This website showcases my photography and videography work, highlighting my expertise in capturing the perfect moment. I create visuals that convey meaning and purpose, whether for a wedding, concert, commercial shoot or beyond. I take great pride in my work and am dedicated to producing the best possible results.
